2018 was not the best year for me/us. But nevertheless I am very much thankful for the year that was. I learned so much from 2018. I fell in love. I got my heart broken. I laugh a lot and cried a river. At one point I was questioning myself if I am doing the right thing, but I guess I did. 🙂 See, its the 2nd day of 2019 and I am very much alive and kicking!
Looking back, I realised I had many FIRSTS in 2018;
January – I celebrated the new year from our family home after 7 years. It was the first time I welcomed a year without the husband by my side. I was in PH and he was in SG.
February – Visited Thailand for the first time. I ticked one item from my bucket list which was to do zip lining! First time to experience playing with elephants and I FELL IN LOVE with them.
March – Got my heart broken when we left Singapore. Things didn’t go as planned, and we have to move back home, for good.
April – Slowly picked up the pieces and started adjusting of living back in Cebu.
May – First time to do house renovation. We got this house exactly 9 years ago, but we didn’t touch anything.
July – Had our first road trip with my younger cousins.
September – We adopted a family of stray cats! And our lives were never the same.
October – Got my heart broken again when 2 of the kittens didn’t survive.
November – Got a phone call from Singapore. Husband’s papers are okay again, and he has to fly ASAP. We decided to visit Taiwan before he goes back to Singapore. It was my first time to visit Taiwan and I had ticked 2 items from my bucket list, to visit a Lavender field and to fly a sky lantern.
Along the way we experienced crossroads and bumps in 2018, but nevertheless I am very much grateful we survived and now, allow me to say this;
Welcome 2019! I am looking forward on what you can offer me this year! 🙂
