I was rummaging my files for the short essay I wrote few years back, unfortunately I can’t find it. Instead I found this piece I wrote when I was back home. I can’t believe I forgot to post this! (face palm) Anyways, Im posting it now, after 3 months. 🙂
I am seating in my childhood home as I am typing this.
I could hear my Mother’s footsteps. I could hear our neighbours’. I could hear children’s voices. I could hear cars and motorcycles honk. I could hear chickens. I could hear the dog’s bark the cat’s meow. I could hear the bird’s chirp and the crickets too. But they are all music to my ears.
Waking up every morning at 5 am without my alarm is very fulfilling. My morning runs are always the best. Waving and saying my hi and good mornings to those I bumped along the way. My meals are home cooked, who could ask for more?
I am away from the hustle and bustle city life. I am disconnected from the “internet world” for a week now, no phone connections too. I have to travel for a good 20-30 minutes if I want to use the internet. Yes, I am in my brother’s place now so I could post this.
I love the peace and tranquility this place could offer. Most especially the peace and tranquility I feel from my Mother’s embrace.
